    The Challenge

A 3D artist I know had never put her work online. No portfolio, no Instagram, none of it. The work was strong and deserved somewhere to be seen, so the site started there.

    What I did

The first version leaned hard into the medium: bold, game-like, the kind of thing 3D invites. It made the site about the technology instead of the work, which is backwards, so it got scrapped. What replaced it is a plain layout that stays out of the way.

Partway through, she asked for the individual piece pages to feel more like ArtStation. The idea was good; copying it outright wasn’t. Adapted to the site’s own look, it kept everything reading as one thing.

    The result

The site gives her one place where the work actually lives, and people are finding it there. It’s being seen, which was the whole point.
